This is a call to submit your candidacy for the Nepalese Association of Indiana’s (NAI) executive committee position for a two-year term (2025-2026) and participate in the General Election 2024 to elect an eleven member Executive Board as per Article X of its Bylaws.
Here are the available roles, total available positions, and associated non-refundable application fees:
President x 1 ($25)
Vice President x 1 ($15)
Secretary x 1 ($15)
Joint Secretary x 1 ($15)
Treasurer x 1 ($15)
Executive Member x 6 ($10)

According to NAI Bylaws;
Candidates must be a member of NAI at the time of application.
Candidates must have one proposer and one supporter for the position. You can find NAI membership directory here: https://www.indiananepali.org/membership/membership-directory.
Proposer and Supporter must be a member of NAI and they can only propose one candidate, but can support as many as they wish.
Candidates should be present in person in the designated venue during the Election day.
No proxy voting is allowed.
Candidates for the post of President and Treasurer, as mentioned in Bylaws Article X, Section must be at least a US Permanent Residence (Green Card) or US Citizen.
Candidates for the post of President and Treasurer can either submit a US Permanent Residence (Green Card) or a US Passport as a proof of their US residency status along with the application. If you are using the online application form, you must also forward a copy of the stated documents along with the confirmation email to elections@indiananepali.org.
One Individual can be a candidate for only one position.
All voters must be NAI members prior to voting.
Voters should present a valid picture ID during voting.
Voters should be present in person in the designated venue during the Election day to vote.
No proxy voting is allowed.

NAI members who wish to apply for the respective executive positions must file their nominations by submitting the online application form or paper application form. Note: Election Committee (EC) does not maintain or guarantee security of the digital data submitted in the application separately. EC leverages the security standard used by NAI for https://www.indiananepali.org/.
The completed and signed paper application form, a copy of the photo identification, and any other required documents as applicable must be submitted either electronically as an attachment or delivered to any of the election committee members in person along with payment/payment confirmation. Note: For Electronic Submissions, please submit this online applications form and forward your confirmation email by attaching your photo ID to elections@indiananepali.org.
Once the application is received, the election committee will verify the content of the application. If the applicant fails to meet the application requirements by the deadline, the application will be invalid, and the applicant will be notified about this.
