Holi, also known as Phagu Purnima is the festival of colors celebrated all over Nepal. This festival marks the arrival of spring and celebrated as a symbol of the triumph of good over evil.
People throw different color and water filled with balloons at each other. It is one of the most waited festival in Nepal, especially for the youth generation.
Every year NAI organizes Holi event for our Indiana Nepali community where people of all ages gather at a place and smear different colors at each other. People of all ages celebrate by singing and and dancing during the event.
This year, NAI team is excited to invite our Nepalese community members to celebrate the colorful Holi festival together! The colors, light snacks, and music will be provided by NAI. In addition, MoMo and Beyond, in partnership with Fusion Grill and Bar at the Garnet Waterfront, will have food booths offering authentic Nepali food including MoMo and drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) for purchase. We encourage parents to bring windbreakers (light jacket/ raincoat) for the kids, water guns, and any creative holi toys for the kids to play/share and have fun!
