Jajarkot, Nepal was devastated by a 5.6 magnitude earthquake on Nov 4, 2023 leaving 128 people dead, dozens injured, and many houses left in ruins. Nepalese Association of Indiana organized the Deusi Bhailo program to raise fund and provide relief to the victims and families affected by the earthquake. NAI worked with the 100's Group NGO in Nepal to disseminate the collected fund ($2,408) to the families in need at the grass root level from Dec 26, 2023 - Jan 2nd, 2024.

The collected fund was able to make difference in the lives of over 300 affected families in Nepal as follows:

• 132 families received crucial aid including mattresses, blankets, baby clothes, and sanitary supplies

• 158 students received new tracksuits, jackets, socks, winter caps, and other warm clothing

• Funded part of the constructions for two new village school buildings
